UPDATE: neun Oscar-Nominierungen für AVATAR, fünf für OBEN und eine für Coraline (+3 für Deutschland)

Soeben wurden die Oscarnominierungen für die Verleihung der 82. Annual Academy Awards bekanntgegeben. Durch die Nominierung führte Anne Hathaway zusammen mit dem Präsidenten der Jury Tom Sherak. Live bekannt gegeben wurden zunächst nur die wichtigsten Kategorien.

  • Director: James Cameron für Avatar
  • Original Screenplay: OBEN
  • Animated Feature: Coraline und OBEN
  • Best Picture: AVATAR und OBEN

Und wenn auch gänzlich ohne Hang zu stereoskopischem 3D möchte ich euch auch auf die Nominierungen für unsere deutsch/österreichischen Beiträge hinweisen.

  • Das Weisse Band: Best Foreign Language Film, Cinematography
  • Supporting Role: Christoph Waltz für Inglourious Basterds

[UPDATE:] Mittlerweile sind auch die Nominierungen für die restlichen Kategorien veröffentlicht. Und OBEN hat natürlich Chancen auf 5 Goldjungs.

Für „AVATAR- Aufbruch nach Pandora“ gab es insgesamt neun Nominierungen:

Und Henry Selicks Stopmotion-Animationsfilm „Coraline“ bekam immerhin auch eine Nominierung:

Die Verleihung findet am 7. März 2010 statt, aufgrund der olympischen Winterspiele etwas später als gewöhnlich. Natürlich wird die Verleihung auch im Fernsehen übertragen, in Deutschland übernimmt das erneut Pro 7. Und Filmfreunde in Berlin möchte ich darauf hinweisen, dass Berlin kleinstes und feinstes Kino Das Filmcafé wieder eine Public Viewing Oscarnacht veranstaltet. Inklusive Drink, Buffet und zur Überbrückung des Abends mit zwei Filmen im hauseigenen Downstairskino. Ich bin da- wen treffe ich dort?
